Living in Georgia, I’m pretty sure you have those days you dread having to come home from a long day and have to cook. You think to yourself “Did I pull anything out the freezer for tonight?” or “What will I make with that later?”. Meanwhile all you’re really thinking about is that drive home in Atlanta traffic, standing behind a stove to make this extravagant dinner, and still have to do all those dishes at the end. You've probably made the same meal over and over within the past month. So you eventually end up ordering takeout because it’s easier.
Whether you need a personal chef to do the shopping, cooking, and even clean up process, My Jewell's Meals will provide the full service. Whether your life is just too hectic and you want prepared gourmet meals ready to go when you get home, I will compose everything in a timely manner and have it delivered to you personally. With over 10 years in the industry, I've went from culinary school to working in private resorts and countless restaurants. From fine dining to Asian fusion, learning fine precision and detail to fermentation and Chef's Tables. I really enjoy interacting with guests and having that one on one connection, especially about their entire dining experience. My end goal is to take what I've learned (and then some) to make everything about your food experience as delicious and simple as possible, putting all of my time and effort into your dishes to keep you satisfied and wanting more.
Georgia has been lucky enough to have a climate that allows a lot of opportunities for farmers. So this state can produce a lot of fruits, vegetables and even some animals very successfully year round, even with some help from surrounding states like the Carolinas. I want to take advantage and use all the resources possible to create top notch meals. Even if you have any dietary restrictions, we can work together to make the best menus possible. When having our consultation, we can sit to discuss your preferences, likes and dislikes, and favorites, making the perfect menu for you, your family and your guests.
Can you just picture having one the best dining experiences in Atlanta without lifting a finger....in the comfort of your own environment? When you hire My Jewell's Meals, I will design and prepare creative menu ideas for you and your family or even for any events you want to host. Whether it's brunch with the family, a business lunch, date night, or anniversary party. I want to work WITH YOU to create that flawless menu you've been thinking about doing and make it come to life! In the end all you will have to do is entertain your guests, enjoy yourself and not have to worry about “Who’s going to cook?"
A deposit will be required prior to services. Pricing will vary, depending on food options.

For those who don't know me, I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. So where does My Jewell fit into this whole thing you ask? "My Jewell” is a name I received from my grandfather J Darnell Jones, who’s passing in February 2018 was very tragic for my entire family. (Can you guess what the J stands for?) He gave most of his grandchildren nicknames only he would call us, so I was blessed to be named after him. I will continue to keep that name alive, because he was such an inspiration to me. He kept me motivated throughout my entire life and was proud of every accomplishment I had, including becoming valedictorian and going to culinary school.
I’ve always had a niche for cooking. From Home Economics in middle school, watching Ina Garten on Food Network every day growing up, to “Take Your Child to Work Day” with my grandmother, whom at over 80 years old is still a bakery clerk at a grocery store in Pittsburgh. I then knew that this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Growing up in Pittsburgh just puts the icing on the cake. You see, Pittsburgh has some of the BEST fan base and loyal sports fans in the US without a doubt, so sports is all I know. I mean we are the City of Champions for a reason.
It has always been a goal of mine for years to actually feed those players that are on the ice or field that keep our city proud. Unfortunately when you look at Pittsburgh from the food aspect, it tends to be more of a meat and potatoes kind of city. From Potato Patch Fries at Kennywood Park, Primanti Brothers sandwiches, and even the traditional pierogis is what Pittsburgh is usually known for. You’ve probably even heard of the term “Pittsburgh Rare”, which came from the Steel Mill workers. They would bring their lunch and cook their steaks on the hot blast furnaces, because they were heated to over 2000 degrees, leaving the meat seared but raw on the inside. Yes, I will say the city is starting to evolve, but that’s just what they are stuck on….TRADITION. After realizing that home will always be there, I had to get away and learn more about different cuisines and cultures that other people in the food industry and around the world have.
My first destination: MIAMI!
Every city has something unique about it. After living in Miami on and off for the past 10 years, it was time to head out to another popular city. The second destination on my list: ATLANTA!
I can't wait to see what new food journey I will embark on in the Peach State.
